Even though I am not on the cleanse anymore I am going to eat as if I am still on it. Clean eating is my goal. For breakfast I am having a green smoothie. I have measured my waist, it is 35" and my weight is 144. I did not wake up with a headache or any gut pains. We will see how things go as I continue through the day and eat. This was written Friday the 6th.
I did not eat clean for all the meals over the weekend but I did for breakfast and ate wise for lunch but dinners I had bbq burger and then pulled pork sandwich and I did do dessert. That's what happens when family is in town that I have to feed.
Monday I ate clean all day till dinner then had left overs from the weekend. I woke up Monday weighing 143.
Tuesday (today) I have been eating clean for breakfast and lunch. If all goes as planned I will have a salad for dinner. I am feeling great, more energy working out and no gut pains. I think I am going to wait for a measurement and weigh in until Friday morning.

Cleanse Day Three
Okay, so I screwed up last night but it's a new day. I made a smoothie for breakfast and am headed out to the gym. I weighed the same as yesterday 145.5 lbs. I went to the gym and burned 300 calories. I didn't do any of the snacks. I did the salad for lunch and for dinner I decided to not do the soup. I think the beans in it were causing me some issues. Instead I had a cob of corn a big helping of green beans and 4 oz. of grilled chicken. I will do a waist measurement tomorrow morning.
Cleanse Day Two
Here we go again. Weighed myself this morning and was 145.5 lbs. and my waist is 36". I had to pee about every fifteen minutes after starting to drink the smoothie. I did the Super Detox Green smoothie this morning. Yesterday I did the Cleanse and Detox Smoothie. Both are pretty good although I think I prefer yesterdays a little more. I am really looking forward to eating some nuts for snack but not so much the fresh cut veggies, getting a little veggied out. I assume I would get used to eating more veggies if I kept this up for a long time. I love veggies but just need other things to go with them. So after the cleanse I will add peanut butter to the celery and then I will be able to eat it more or hummus to the carrots. I have had a very slight headache since last night.
Late afternoon feeling very bloated and gassy. Must have been the beans from the soup.
I didn't make it the whole day on the cleanse. I went to dinner with Joe and tried to make wise choices, no bread, no pasta, ate all the steamed veggies and had a chicken dish. But, I did order dessert, not good.

How sad that I never kept this up and never even remembered I had this blog until the other day when I decided I needed to do something to make myself feel better. I have gone down hill from when I last posted. There were periods over the past 4 years that I was healthy and happy with the way I looked but there have been times that I haven't felt so great and feel horrible about the way I look. Right now I am feeling pretty horrible. Since my last blog post several years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease which causes me to have hypothyroidism. When I first discovered this I was also having horrible gastro intestinal pains and mood swings. After being put on the thyroid medication I felt somewhat better. Although I have never felt like I used to. To help with the gut pains I tried cutting out gluten and dairy at one point but it seemed to not make a huge difference but maybe a slight one. I really don't eat much dairy at all but have struggled with the gluten. I would go through periods of eating very little gluten and I was feeling fine with that then before I knew it I would let it creep all the way back into my diet and gradually start feeling rotten again. But as I said I'm not 100% sure it is caused by gluten, possibly a combination of eating things. This past week I have literally felt rotten. I feel like my thyroid is out of whack and my gut is hurting constantly. The horrible mood swings are back. I look like I am 5 months pregnant, I measured my waist and I might as well be (37 1/2"). It is ridiculous that I have let it get this out of hand. I'm not saying I have let myself go, I always strive to make healthy meals for the family but the desserts creep back in and I don't always choose a healthy snack. So, all this being said I am trying to take control again. Today I started a 3 day cleanse and will then try and stick to clean eating with one cheat day a week after that. My goal is to feel better and look better.

Day one of cleanse. Weighed in at 147 with waist measurement (right over the belly button) of 137 1/2, yikes. I followed the plan exactly. Added an elliptical workout burning 300 calories. I did not do the mid afternoon snack mentioned on the plan. Still had gut discomfort through out the day but not as bad as days leading up to the start of cleanse. The soup for dinner is so good. It is a recipe I would make for the family.
The breakfast smoothie is actually better than I thought it would be even Lola (1 1/2) will drink it.
